Open Door Mission

The communications director for Open Door Mission came out to talk to the kids about the the people served at Open Door Mission. She had them put themselves in shoes of a homeless person and had them think if they were to live in their car what would they take? She also shared some scary statistics with us! About 89,000+ kids in Nebraska are "food insecure" meaning they don't know when and where their next meal would come from. About 26,000+ kids in Omaha are considered "food insecure". They serve meals to about 6,000-8,000/month! They are in need of sheets, towels, pillows, blankets, and new underwear! She was very excited to receive all the blankets that we made! Her car trunk was full!!!

Marble Party

The students earned another Marble Party for their behavior! Hope we can earn another one before the end of the year!

Earth Day Activity - Preschool buddies

We had beautiful weather for our Earth Day activity! The preschoolers were learning about reduce, reuse, and recycle to help save our Earth! Then we helped them go and pick up the school grounds! To complete our afternoon, we enjoyed some dirt cups! Thanks to all who donated these items!
